1 brown onion, diced
2 sticks celery, diced
2 carrots, diced
1 tsp chopped rosemary
2 rashers bacon, chopped (optional)

¼ small cabbage, shredded or about 4 cups
3 medium zucchinis, diced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 cup small macaroni or other small pasta, like vermicelli
2 x14oz cans cooked whole beans, drained
4 tbsp chopped parsley
4 tbsp grated parmesan
