Australia consistently enjoys one of the strongest nation brands in the world, according to the Anholt-GMI Nations Brand Index.
Now Americans can find genuinely Australian specialty foods and beverages, by looking for products with the distinctive green-and-gold Australian Made, Australian Grown logo. The unique products carrying the stylised kangaroo logo are being promoted as part of a new 3-year initiative to highlight a range of quality Australian products available in the United States.
The program includes a series of month-long retail promotions introducing Americans to premium Australian specialty foods and beverages at retail stores across the United States, including Whole Foods Market (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut); and Bristol Farms (LA), Andronico’s (Bay Area) and Citarella (New York City).
The logo is Australia’s most trusted product symbol and can be found on almost 10,000 products sold in more than 30 countries. It is administered by the Australian Made, Australian Grown Campaign (AMAG), a not-for-profit organization that assists consumers in more easily identifying genuine Australian products and produce and promotes the green and gold logo as an effective way to brand and find these goods. The kangaroo logo is the most trusted country of origin symbol in Australia and is recognised by 94% of Australian consumers.
